October 5 - 12, 2019!

Yes, I'm going to be having a fall workshop next year!

October is one of my favorite times on Monhegan, a bit of a nip in the air in

the morning and beautiful, clear sunny weather during the day.

My family and I will be moving to France for a year and I will not be around

for my normal June workshop, so I have decided to try one in October.

I might be trying to do an Aix en Provence workshop in June 2019 as well.

Details to follow!

This past  summer's workshop was amazing! Everyone produced some fantastic paintings, a couple of finished pieces, but many really good starts. We had a couple of chilly, drizzly days, but the rest were a bit overcast or sunny. All beautiful!

This is our meet and greet layout. We were well treated by the Island Inn staff.

 Painting at the lighthouse.

Setting up at Swim Beach after I did a quick demo. Someone staying in the "red house" allowed us to use their lawn and porch (which is how I got this aerial view).

Painting on the Island Inn porch on a drizzly day.

An amazing hors d'ouevre for one of our critiques. Our chef at the Inn is an artist with his food.

Looking over the harbor.

Painting from Lighthouse hill.

Breakfast at the Inn.

Preparing to paint a model on the lawn of the Inn

A quick demonstration on the first day will get everyone going, and then the whole week will be spent painting one beautiful place after another.

The week's schedule will change a bit with the weather.

Saturday:   Settle in and then meet up for wine and hors d'oeuvres, to discuss the week to come. I supply food and beverage for all our group get togethers.

Sunday:       Painting course starts. 9:30 - 12:30 with short talk and demo on the Inn's lawn.  2 - 5pm painting session also on the lawn.

Monday:                 9:30 - 12:30 painting from the Lighthouse (truck will transport equipment), again 2 -5pm at the light house.

Tuesday:             9:30 - 12:30 Swim Beach,   2 - 5pm on the lawn of the Inn.   6pm critique with refreshments on the Inn's porch.

Wednesday:         Free morning to explore the island. 2 - 5pm,  painting a model on the Inn's lawn. Modeling fee included.

Thursday:             9:30 - 4:30 painting at Lobster Cove. (with help from the Inn's truck) Lunch (my treat) delivered by the Island Inn.

Friday:                   9:30 - 1:30 on the Inn's lawn, or wherever you wish, maybe finingsing a piece that was started during the week. A fantastic lunch at the Island Inn on me. Final Critique..
